Troyal Garth Brooks, commonly known as “Garth Brooks,” was born on February 7, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His father was Troyal Raymond Brooks Jr., a draftsman for an oil company, and his mother was Colleen McElroy Carroll, an Irish country singer.
