Daniel Raymond Wilkinson is a former American football player, a former Hull City Player in the EPL, who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League for thirteen seasons in the 1990s and 2000s. Dan Wilkinson, 26 years old, suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch in an Integro League Cup match against Brighouse Town on 13 September 2016. He died few hours after being taken to a Hospital.

On the no. 2 lists of the top 10 players who died on the pitch is Ben Idrissa Dermé, a player who played club football in Burkina Faso, Moldova, and France for Étoile Filante, Sheriff Tiraspol, US Ouagadougou, USC Corte, CA Bastia, ÉF Bastia and AJ Biguglia.
He died of a heart attack during a French Cup match on 11 September 2016, at the age of 34.

Michael Umanika died on August 15, 2016, at the age of 20 years. He is a Nigerian midfielder for Khazar Lankaran collapsed during a team training session in Lankaran. He died of a suspected heart attack.

Jeanine Christelle Djomnang, 22, became ill before a Femina Stars Ebolowa match in southern Cameroon on Sunday and died on her way to the hospital. The federation says initial reports suggest she died of a heart attack, but it is now awaiting a medical report. It comes days after Cameroon player Patrick Ekeng died in Romania.
Djomnang complained of chest pains as she prepared to take on Louves MINPROFF Yaounde in the Cameroon elite league and was taken to hospital where she eventually died.

Bernardo Salim Ribeiro, 26, was a Brazilian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. As a young player, he moved to Europe, where he played in Italy, Albania, and Finland. He also played in the Australian first division. Bernardo Ribeiro, a Brazilian footballer for Friburguense collapsed during a friendly match before being taken to a hospital, where he died of a suspected heart attack

Patrick Claude Ekeng Ekeng, 26, was a Cameroonian professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He had two international caps for his country’s national team, whom he represented at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. He collapsed in a match against FC Viitorul Constanța seven minutes after he came on from the bench and was taken to a hospital, where he died less than two hours later.

Australian goalkeeper Stefan Petrovski, 18, died in hospital after being struck by lightning during training in Malaysia. Petrovski, 18, was training with Malaysian club Melaka United on April 5 when lightning struck the goalposts him and a teammate were standing near.

Sergei Aleksandrovich Filippenkov, 44, was a Russian football manager and player at FC Zenit Penza. Filippenkov died of a heart attack during a friendly match between former players on 15 October 2015. He died during a friendly match between veteran teams in Pensa.
Cristian César Gómez, 27, was an Argentine professional footballer who played as a defender for 9 de Julio de Rafaela, Deportivo Armenio, Sportivo Patria and Atlético Paraná. He died during a game in May 2015. He died of heart failure during a Primera B Nacional match.
