10. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Set in England, Pride and Prejudice is an 1813 novel that has become something of a rage among literary critics all over the world today. The story revolves around the protagonist Elizabeth Bennet and her falling in love with someone she initially hated. The story goes on to comically depict the manners, education system, marriage, and money of the time. The novel has two prominent adaptations. One was by BBC in 1995 the other in 2005.
